Pune is a wide city and the three areas men ask us about most are Wakad, Hinjewadi and Koregaon Park. They are not the same kind of place at all. One is an office belt, one is a hotel belt, and one is the going-out belt. Picking the right one saves you an hour of traffic and gets you a better choice of girls, because our availability is not the same across the city at every hour.
Hinjewadi is the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, spread over Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3. It is where most of Pune's IT companies sit, so the men booking here are usually on a work trip and are free only after 8 in the evening. There is not much hotel stock inside the park itself, which matters more than people expect: most guests are actually staying in Wakad or Baner and only working in Hinjewadi.
The thing to plan around is the road out. The Hinjewadi stretch jams hard between about 6 and 9 in the evening, and a trip that takes 15 minutes at noon can take 45 in that window. Wakad sits on the Mumbai–Bangalore highway right next to the Wakad bridge, and it is 10 to 15 minutes from Hinjewadi outside rush hour. It has the widest spread of mid-range hotels and service apartments in this part of Pune, which is exactly why it is the area we get booked in most often.
Because it is on the highway, it is also the easiest place for a girl to reach quickly from almost anywhere on the west side of the city. Book here if: you want the shortest waiting time, a hotel that is used to guests coming and going, and a rate that goes further because the rooms cost less than Koregaon Park.
Koregaon Park is the upmarket end of the city. North Main Road and the numbered lanes hold most of Pune's better restaurants and clubs, and the hotels around it are the expensive ones. It is roughly 6 km from Pune airport, so it is the natural choice if you have flown in for a night or two.
The pattern here is the opposite of Hinjewadi. Koregaon Park is quiet on a Tuesday and packed on a Friday and Saturday night, and the girls with the strongest profiles get booked out early on those two nights.
